NSX Activities

A total of N$ 125 800 647 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Monday with about N$ 6 574 951 worth of Anglo-American Plc , N$  190 811  worth of Namibia Breweries and N$  1 559 217 worth of FirstRand Namibia on the home front. ETFs worth N$ 256 513 were recorded on Monday.

HEI Equity Research Commentary

From the trading activity that took place:

  • After a long tenure and for the first time, Anglo-American’s shares are trading below 500 dollars mark. Thus aspired fear, causing investors to continue selling their stake.
  • Namibia Breweries shares were traded at market price on the home front.
  • Additionally, FirstRand Namibia still continues to be favorable to investor’s as the appetite for its shares continue to increase.
  • News Gold Issuer ETF NM was bought, resulting in the increase in share price.

MTC has kicked off its listing process, selling shares to members of the public for N$ 8.50 for a minimum of 200 shares..(Namibian Sun)
