NSX Activities

A total of N$ 72 911 270 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Friday with about N$ 31 826 149 worth of Old Mutual, N$ 1 112 935 worth of Sanlam Limited and N$ 8 994 000 worth of FirstRand Namibia on the home front. ETFs worth N$ 149 993 were recorded on Friday.

From the trading activity that took place:

  • Surprising the entire market, Old Mutual’s shares were bought aimed the rising curve.
  • Sanlam steady rose in favorable demand of investors as more shares were bought, boasting the market price.
  • On the NSX primary listing, FirstRand Namibia’s shares were traded in large volumes , aimed the good financial results making it the most promising stock to own.
  • NewsFunds S&P Namibia Bond ETF was traded at market price for the first time since its listing.
