NSX Activities

A total of N$ 58 851 605 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Monday , with about N$  15 727 087 worth of Anglo-American, N$   6 910 288 worth of Shoprite Holdings  and N$  19 524 378 worth of FirstRand Limited and N$  2 314 716 worth of Oryx Property   traded  on the home front. No ETFs were traded on Monday.

From the trading activity that took place:

  • Anglo-American shares continue to increase in value as the company buys back its securities.
  •  Shoprite’s shares were traded, resulting into an increase in their share price.
  • Large volumes of FirstRand shares were violently sold off for the first time in this quarter.
  • On the NSX home front, Oryx Properties’ shares were traded at market price increasing its share price.
