NSX Activities

A total of N$ 16 361 028 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Monday, with about N$ 7 333 709 worth of Old Mutual Ltd, N$ 945 879 worth of Shoprite Holdings, N$ 241 613 worth of Namibia Breweries and N$ 43 668 worth of Paratus Namibia Holdings on the home front. No ETFs activities were recorded on Monday.

HEI Equity Research Commentary

From the trading activity that took place:

  • The sell-off of Old Mutual has developed into a market trend as the public dumps more of its shares.
  • Shoprite Holdings’ shares were sold as retail sector performance declines.
  • Namibian Breweries’ shares were bought by the public as good performance starts to emerge.
  • Paratus Namibia Holding’s shares were traded at market price with no significant modification in trading contribution.
  • To summarize on the NSX, three trades occurred which was from Namibian Breweries, Paratus Namibia Holdings and FirstRand Namibia. Only Namibian Breweries had change in share price while the rest were traded at market price.
