NSX Activities

A total of N$ 12 658 621 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Friday, with about N$ 6 031 460 worth of Old Mutual Ltd, N$ 799 700 worth of Anglo American and N$ 229 596 worth of Old Mutual and N$ 634 950 worth of Capricorn Group Limited on the home front. No ETFs activities were recorded on Friday.

HEI Equity Research Commentary

From the trading activity that took place:

  • As companies in the insurance sectors is in the state to mitigate payout risk, investors are pulling out their capital by dumping shares in bulky volumes.
  • Peer companies in the resources sector are showing steady growth resulting in the purchases of Anglo-American shares.
  • Shares sold in Capricorn Group alludes how stagnant  the company performance is over time.
  • To summarize on the NSX, a huge sell-off in Capricorn Group and First Rand Namibia occurred while other locally listed companies remain dormant for the time being.
