HEI Equity Research Commentary
From the trading activity that took place:
- Thursday’s trading day was the ‘bloodiest’ since October 2020, where stocks were inevitably sold off, thus was caused by global stock market weakness, especially in China and the fears over raising interests.
- Short-sellers brutally sold off shares in Investec Limited.
- After good market performance the ‘domino effect’ on the global market events resulted in the selling of Momentum Metropolitan Holdings’ shares.
- It was a disappointing day for NedBank Group as shares were drastically sold off.
