From the trading activity that took place:

  • Following the release of the NSENS announcement regarding the annual results report, Anglo-American’s share performance experienced a sell-off, resulting in a decline of 3.68% on the overall bourse.
  • Shares of Oryx Properties Limited were traded on the domestic exchange, leading to a surge of 1.05% in the company’s share price performance.

Oil minister Tom Alweendo says one of the key ways to ensure that Namibians enjoy meaningful participation in oil discovered locally is through joint ventures with foreign entities with required capabilities. (Sun Newspaper)

Sub-Sahara News

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) says it has managed to recover R18 million from law firms and attorneys that received duplicate payments from the Road Accident Fund (RAF). In the first phase of its probe, the SIU said it had identified 102 law firms that received duplicate payments from the RAF of approximately R340 million. (News24)
