Local News

The Japanese government stands ready to inject US$1.5 billion (about N$28 billion) in mining activities in Namibia, the country’s trade and industry minister Yasutoshi Nishimura said(Sun Newspaper)

TransNamib will soon operate the first dual-fuel locomotive in Africa. If all goes according to plan, two locomotives being converted locally and in South Africa will utilise a combination of green hydrogen to be produced in Namibia and diesel fuel. (New Era Newspaper)

The Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture has contracted the Namibian Defence Force company August 26 Construction to build classrooms and ablution facilities at public schools countrywide to the tune of N$255,5 million. (The Namibian Newspaper)
