NSX Activities

A total of N$ 6 611 865 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Friday, with about N$ 3 274 740 worth of Old Mutual Ltd, N$ 2 332 614 worth of Oceana Group Limited and N$ 1 004 512 worth of Investec Limited. No trading activities took place on the home front and no ETFs were traded on Friday as well.

From the trading activity that took place:

  • An end of a good market performance streak stimulates investors to dump Old Mutual’s shares.
  • Upward trend in Oceana Group’s share price resulted in more shares to be purchased.
  • As time passed, Investec’s performance data displays a positive trend, encouraging more to buy its shares.
  • On the NSX, locally traded shares have not emerged yet, as low market liquidity continue to influence investor’s decision making into buying shares on the Namibian stock market.
