NSX Activities

A total of N$ 60 314 051 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Friday with about N$ 12 737 806 worth of Anglo-American, N$ 24 717 383 worth of Shoprite Holdings and N$ 10 477 878 worth of Standard Bank Group. ETFs worth of N$ 119 462 was traded, for New Gold Issuer Ltd NM only.

HEI Equity Research Commentary

From the trading activity that took place:

  • Share price of Anglo-American increased due to press release of the carried-out transactions in repurchasing its own shares.
  • A downwards trend in Shoprite’s performance caused one of the largest sell-off transaction in monetary value in months.
  • The announcement of Standard Bank Group highline earnings per share (HEPS) release date for 2021,  caused a buying effect of its shares.
  • New Gold Issuer Ltd NM was sold off anonymously, despite the upward trend in overall market performance.
