NSX Activities

A total of N$ 11,881,395 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Tuesday, with about N$ 1,952,903 worth of Anglo- American, N$  324,411  worth of Shoprite Holdings, and N$  606,490 worth of Namibia Breweries on the home front. No ETFs were traded on Monday.

HEI Equity Research Commentary

From the trading activity that took place:

  • Anglo-American shares price decreased at closing following a market meltdown on the JSE
  • Shares in Shoprite Holdings slightly decreased at closing
  • On the local NSX front, Namibia Breweries shares were traded in large volumes resulting in an increase in share price at closing.

Local News

Two unions representing civil servants have until this Friday to determine their next step in a salary-increase battle they’ve been fighting since last year. (Namibian Sun)
