NSX Activities

A total of N$ 24,129,401.49 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Wednesday with about N$ 97,987 worth of shares belonging to  Shoprite Holdings and N$  6,500 from Paratus Namibia Holdings Ltd on the home front. No ETFs were traded on Wednesday.

From the trading activity that took place:

  • Shoprite Holdings shares continue to be subscribed as the South African Finance Minister outlined the government’s fiscal and debt outlook improved since the national budget statement in February 2022
  • Paratus Namibia Holdings Ltd shares were allotted by market participants, resulting in a slight increase in share price at closing.

Local News

The Agricultural Bank of Namibia (Agribank) hereby informs its clients, prospective clients, and all stakeholders that, as of the 1st of December 2022, Agribank will no longer accept cash payments (Sun Newspaper)

Ambassador of the European Union (EU) delegation to Namibia Sinikka Antila, yesterday said Namibia’s exports to the EU market have grown by 50% and at one point reached N$650 billion, while imports only grew by 8.9% (New Era Newspaper)
