NSX Activities

A total of N$ 971,840,507 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Monday with about N$ 90,499,988 worth of Sanlam Limited and N$ 68,489 worth of FirstRand Namibia Ltd on the home front. ETFs worth N$ 143,715 were traded on Monday.

  • Sanlam Limited’s share price increased as investor’s hunger leads to massive subscription
  • On the local NSX listing, shares belonging to FirstRand Namibia Ltd were traded resulting in a minor decline in share price at closing

The Landless People’s Movement (LPM) is blaming City of Windhoek head of human resources George Mayumbelo for the fact that mayor Sade Gawanas, a deployee of the party, has allegedly received N$57,000 in transport allowance- despite using the municipality’s vehicles for private and official duties (Namibian Sun)
