NSX Activities

A total of N$ 5,967,041 worth of shares was traded on the NSX on Friday, with about N$  42,593  worth of Anglo- American, N$  2,606,556 worth of Shoprite Holdings, and N$  1,861,283  worth of Namibia Breweries on the home front. No ETFs were traded on Friday.

HEI Equity Research Commentary

From the trading activity that took place:

  • Anglo-American shares price decreased at closing following a market meltdown on the JSE
  • Shares in Shoprite Holdings slightly reduced by 0.5% as bearish turbulent behavior calms
  • On the local NSX front, Namibia Breweries shares were traded in large volumes resulting  in a -4.8% decrease in the share price at closing
